Meet the Crew: Doug
Living Life Full Throttle, Running Dumpsters Full Service

Every company has a story, and for Daddy’s Dumpsters, that story starts with Doug.
Doug is a proud Florida native who has called Venice home for the past 20 years. A father of three girls and a true jack of all trades, Doug has lived a life full of adventure and hard work. He’s never been afraid to try something new, and his career has taken him down more paths than most people could imagine.
Over the years, Doug has worn just about every hat you can imagine. He has been in the rodeo, owned a donut shop, lived and worked in Alaska as a deep-sea crab fisherman, been voted best realtor in Charlotte, NC, built wood cabins by hand, and owned a marine shop selling boats. Rumor has it he’s even flown planes — or maybe it was race cars. Maybe both. With a background as colorful as that, you can see why Doug always has something interesting to share.
In 2005, Doug put his creativity and determination into action when he dreamed up Daddy’s Dumpsters. What started with just a truck, a trailer, and a few wooden 5-yard dumpsters became a one-man operation built on the values of fairness, affordability, and hassle-free service. Over time, his vision grew. Today, Daddy’s Dumpsters has expanded into a full fleet of hook-lift trucks and a wide variety of dumpsters ranging from 10 to 30 yards, serving residential, commercial, and construction customers throughout Venice and the surrounding areas.
Doug is the kind of person who always has a plan, always has a list, and always has another idea in the works. When he’s not running Daddy’s Dumpsters, he enjoys spending time with his family — who always seem to drag him into something crazy. Whether it’s white-water rafting, spelunking in caves, or zip-lining through the jungle, the Worth family loves activities where signing the waiver is part of the fun. After all, how else do you keep Doug young?
If you ever get the chance to meet him, be sure to ask for a story — because with the life he’s lived, you’re guaranteed to get a good one. And if you do, write it down and send it to us. We’re keeping track of Doug’s adventures, and your story might just find its way here on the website.
From rodeos to crab boats to donuts and dumpsters, Doug’s journey has been anything but ordinary. He’s the reason Daddy’s Dumpsters has grown from a small trailer and a dream into the trusted local company it is today.
Stay tuned as we continue our “Meet the Crew” series and introduce more of the people who keep Daddy’s Dumpsters rolling.
